The time or day at which new calendar begins is called New Year. We Nepalese people have our own unique Bikram Sambat Calendar and we make plans and launch programmes according to it. Usually, we celebrate the first day of New Year that is on every 1st Baishakh.
This day is very special and auspicious for us. We celebrate it as a festival. On this cheerful occasion, we all wish each other, “Happy New Year” and share our happiness and sorrows with our relatives and friends. This time, I am very excited and eagerly waiting for New Year, 2078 B.S. We had a terrible and difficult time in 2077 B.S. We all have a hope that New Year (2078 B.S.) will bring peace, prosperity and good health in our life and create an atmosphere of happiness and positivity. Let’s hope that New Year (2078 B.S) will eliminate all kinds of difficulties from our life and help us to lead an ideal and cheerful life. In fact, I am already prepared to start this New Year with new thoughts, creations and bring new positive changes in my life. I will work much harder and harder in my studies. I will set an example of being an ideal student.
Every New Year day encourages me to be hard worker, perseverant, patient and a good person. I am extremely excited to celebrate it and eagerly waiting for the great day.
